Meet Your AI Teacher: Shankar AVSB
This AI Fundamentals Course (AI 101) has been created by Shankar AVSB, the Founder of Ellumenex and Director of GSBX. Shankar wrote his first AI program in PROLOG back in 1995 (they were called Expert Systems) while studying Electrical Engineering (to automatically control grid voltage based on 25+ technical parameters, which was often a big challenge for human engineers at various crunch times). Artificial intelligence was still in its academic infancy back then. While that AI program became fully functional and ready in 1996, it did not have the necessary interfaces to connect with external systems to execute its mission, because the landscape was not ready for AI back then (its still not fully ready in 2025). Since then, Shankar has been tracking the evolution of AI, along with evolution of the Internet and Blockchain technologies, along with 20 years in business consulting, financial markets and startups, helping companies and founders across industries understand their business models, challenges, and growth paths. He also has interest in AI system architecture and performance improvement of AI systems like Large Language Models (LLMs). Shankar founded Ellumenex to help businesses understand AI use cases and adopt AI with a clear roadmap.

By end June 2025, Shankar’s AI book will be published on Amazon:
“Beyond Human: The Journey into Artificial Intelligence”
The book traces the evolution of AI from its roots to the rise of LLMs and explores the future of AI, the future of work and business, and emergence of Humanoids in the coming decades. The book covers different scenarios of AI evolution and emphasizes the importance of AI Ethics for achieving a positive outcome from the global adoption of AI in almost every aspect of human life.
